As the volunteer was explaining the exhibit to me, my head was spinning, trying to take in the plethora of colors, textures, ideas, fabrics and intricacies surrounding me. Suddenly I spied something familiar! Why, it was needle felting! Not just any needle felting, but the felting of Sharon Malec, a good friend and fellow felter. This was a show she had told us about, but I didn't connect the dots until I was staring it right in the face! In fact, over the summer, she brought in the pieces to show and tell at Esther's Place and we got to enjoy a private exhibit!
The fiber world is truly a small world- vast at the same time it is imperceptibly intertwined. We create to unleash our imagination; that in turn inspires others to unlock theirs. It is a circle that continues on and on and on.......
